This file stood out to me because it’s affordable, comes with a variety of attachments, and is electric rather than battery-operated.
I’m really impressed with its performance; it’s powerful, and the ability to control the speed and rotation direction has been incredibly helpful. I mainly use the sandpaper and metal attachments, though I haven’t tried the others much, as they don’t fit my needs. I appreciate that the file and its attachments fit neatly in my nail care bag without taking up too much space.
Beginners should be cautious when using this file, as it can be powerful and it’s easy to injure yourself. I still stick to the lowest setting, and that’s more than sufficient to remove my UV-cured nail polish.

I used to think my cheap battery-operated nail drill was great until I upgraded to this one. It completely outperforms the other. If you do soft gel nails at home, this is definitely worth it—it makes the process a hundred times easier. Just a word of caution: it’s powerful, so be careful not to file your nails down too much if you get carried away. Even on the lowest setting, it can still be quite strong with certain drill bits. I appreciate the variety of tips included, although they do wear out and lose effectiveness over time, which is expected with any brand. The attachment method seems pretty standard, and you can find plenty of affordable drill bits on Amazon. However, you receive so many with this drill that it will take a while before you need replacements. Do keep in mind that it requires a wall outlet to operate, but the cord is reasonably long. One thing I’m not fond of is the on/off switch—it’s a toggle switch where the middle position is “off.” Moving it to either side turns the drill “on,” which can make it tricky to find the “off” position and often results in it spinning in the opposite direction until I can turn it off. The speed setting is a scroll wheel next to the toggle and can reach high speeds. Overall, this is a great low-cost drill that feels like professional quality.
EDIT: Almost a year later, the cord has developed an issue, and the drill only works at a specific angle, making it essentially useless. It was a good option compared to cheap battery drills from Walmart, but I’ve since replaced it with another that was only slightly more expensive. I highly recommend getting a drill with a locking mechanism for the bit. I used to think some vibration was normal, like I experienced with this drill, but a locking mechanism eliminates that issue. While this drill wasn’t bad, there are definitely better options out there. If you do decide to buy it, make sure to stick to the shorter bits; longer ones will increase vibration since the bit doesn’t lock down.
